I won't lie to you, man.. there are. [ Maybe not immediately, but there's already been so much weird stuff happening here over the months that Shinpachi doesn't really want to say "nope, there aren't" and not have Larry prepared in case something does happen. ]

And not just that. Let's just say generally stuff that puts you in danger or downright threatens your life. No matter what this place seems like.. you gotta stay on your guard.

[Yep, Larry's definitely sure he doesn't like the sound of this. He remains quiet while Shinpachi explains the situation, though he shows he's listening by nodding vigorously and anxiously.

Truth is, a lot is running through his mind now. From the whirlwind that was the apocalyptic event, to the whole CERES powerpoint presentation, the killer Santas, and now the revelation that there's the possibility of danger around the corner at all times...it's getting pretty tough to imagine a stable life here.

But he decides he's going to try to stay positive about it. He's faced plenty of scary situations in his life, and he turned out okay! So what's the use of living in fear? There's gotta be some good parts about this place too, to outweigh the killer robots and other stuff.

So when Shinpachi finishes, this time Larry's nod is serious.]

Yeah. I'll be on the lookout now, for sure!

[...okay, it takes a lot of effort to actually be serious so he's just going to drop that and awkwardly rub at his choppy hair spikes again.]

But you are mistaken. I am a blade given human form by my former master. They were able to do so with their powers, that is all I know, however. You would need to ask the Sainwa more in depth on the matter. But they...are not here currently.

[Larry's got a bad habit of being oblivious about things he really shouldn't be oblivious about, and that certainly applies here. The guy said he's okay, so...he's gotta be okay, right? Larry can't really tell anything's off, at least.]

Well that's good to hear! Sorry to hear about the minor casualties though.

[Even if Koujaku only lost a little hair, it still clearly needs to be mourned in some way.

In response to Koujaku's question, Larry sets his snowcone down and manually checks himself for any possible cuts in his clothes.]

I don't think so...they didn't get my clothes, and I don't feel any pain anywhere. I guess I got lucky too, all things considered!

Good. [ Because at this rate Koujaku’s dragging the entire carnival to the hospital for all the near-misses he’s gone through so far. He runs a hand through his own hair—less to check for the damages he already knows is there, and more to just…calm himself down a little.

Everything will be all right. And maybe Larry’s fairly upbeat attitude’s making Koujaku feel a smidge better as well. The Butz may smell but that may not entirely be a bad thing. ]

Ha. [ It would feel so good to just laugh it all away right now. ]

That was some crazy shit back there, huh? It was pretty unbelievable. [ More like he doesn’t want to believe it outright, but you know. ]

So lemme tell you, killer Santas was not what I expected or wanted. I hope this place isn't all...that.
