...yes. [ It's said so serious and deadpan that it's hard to take it as a joke. Kousetsu just looks back at him with his usual blank expression. His eyes tick down to the sword at his side before he slowly draws it from its sheath. ]
...this is my true form. [ He's not going to kill you or anything, really! He'll hold the sword out for Larry to see, making sure to not come off threatening or anything. ]
I am unsure if is possible or not for us to revert back. ...I assume it would be if we had reason to so do. [ But reverting back into an object without any control over their lives...it was a strange thing to think about. Would he really want to do so after seeing how amazing the world was? ]
[See, Larry was expecting some weird and totally impossible magical display involving Kousetsu turning into a sword, not Kousetsu actually drawing a sword on him. So he does jump back a little bit, at least until he's sure Kousetsu's not gonna pull any weird stunts on him with it.
He stares long and hard at the sword, still not sure whether or not Kousetsu's just crazy for thinking he was once that sword he's now holding.
As he thinks more on it, the cooler it actually sounds if it's all legit. Maybe believing Kousetsu isn't so bad of a thing.]
...Okay dude, I'll believe you. But if it's true, then you really have missed out on a whole lot, huh? You've got a lot of catching up to do here!

[ He nods in a solemn way, almost relieved to hear that someone is so easy to believe him. Because in truth it was something of an anomaly to even be proposed such an idea. Kousetsu appreciated that he was actually being taken seriously this time, despite the other's trepidation and confusion moments beforehand. ]
...yes. I have...only heard and seen a few things that this era has to offer. But this place is...far more advanced than even that which the Saniwa has shown us. It is...very confusing and fascinating all at the same time.
[It's definitely still weird to Larry, but he's not sure he really wants to tell a dude with a sword he thinks he still might be just a tiny bit crazy. But maybe Kousetsu's attitude has something to do with how easily Larry caved on the idea too: he seems really super serious about this.]
Yeah, I actually getcha there. Well, probably not as much as you, but this place seems crazy high tech even for me. I guess we both gotta get adjusted to it.
[ Kousetsu nods as he folds his arms into the sleeves of his robes for a minute. A thoughtful expression flickering across his features as he looks at Larry. ]
Perhaps we may...help one another get more acclimated then.
[He doesn't really hesitate with his words anymore- Kousetsu seems cool enough...especially if he's being completely honest with the "I'm a sword" thing.]
I can try to help catch you up on modern stuff and we can catch up on this sci-fi stuff together. How's that sound?
...in the same boat. [ They're not in a boat but okay. He kinda understands the saying, MAYBE?! He won't think too much on it though and instead will nod with that same solemn expression on his face. ]
[While Kousetsu goes along with that boat saying, Larry will equally go along with this "Larry-san" thing. He's got no idea what that means, but he'll assume it's a sword thing...or a Japanese thing? Either way!]
Same to you, man. Looking forward to figuring this place out with you.

That...would be very helpful. I have no objections.

[He's gotta stay optimistic as much as he can...!]
Oh right, I'm Larry by the way. Sorry for not introducing myself when you did. It's Kou... [GIVE HIM A SEC] Kousetsu? Right?

Larry-san. It is...a pleasure to meet you.

[And so, an unlikely duo was formed!]
