[The feed starts with a great view of the interior of the Blackthorn City gym. Two figures stand in the battle arena. One of them should be recognizable to most Johto travelers: it's Clair, the gym leader and Dragon type specialist. The other is a man some residents may have seen on the network: spiky brown hair and goatee and an apparent fondness for orange. It's none other than Larry Butz! And it seems like this is going to be a very important gym battle by what Clair's saying.]

Congratulations, Larry Butz. You've finally made it to the final gym in the Johto League. I must warn you, this isn't going to be easy. I pride myself in being one of the very best Dragon trainers in all of Johto.

[On the other side of the arena, Larry grins.]

I wouldn't want it any other way. Let's do this!

[Clair responds with a smile herself. Although that smile is partly because she's amused by the stuipidly happy look on Larry's face. Wow, do people really get this excited over gym battles?]

Good. Let us begin.

[A couple hours later, Larry appears on the screen, holding up his badge case with a shiny new Rising Badge in it. It's a complete set! He's grinning bigger than ever.]



You guys! I did it! I finally did it! I got all the Johto badges! You know what that means, right? It's Kanto time, baby! Ohhh man, me and the gang have been looking forward to this for months. We're gonna take Kanto by storm!

[27 year olds getting ridiculously excited by nostalgic video game locations, everyone.]

[Good afternoon, Johto! Today you get a cheerful-looking Larry on the network, with an equally cheery Dratini coiled around his shoulders. In his free hand, he holds up two badges to the 'Gear's camera.]



Badges five and six! Having my own battle theme is kinda awesome, especially when battling a gym leader. But man, I can see the end in sight, guys. I can't tell you how excited I am to battle the last two leaders, especially that beauty Clair! Leave it to Johto have a smokin' hot lady as the dragon master. No way I'm gonna treat her as a pushover.

But I'm not scared either. [He grins, using his thumb to point as his Dratini.] 'Cause I'll be going in with my own dragon. Dratini's gonna be a powerhouse by the time I get to Blackthorn.

Dratini! [Dratini seems to agree with that prediction. She's up to the challenge!]

Wooooobbuffet! [Wobbuffet agrees too, apparently.]

[After laughing at his Pokemon pals, Larry turns back to face his 'Gear.]

Oh yeah, I meant to ask! What're you guys gonna dress up as for Halloween? Even if you don't know Halloween that well, all you gotta know is it's mostly about dressing up and getting candy. Assuming we don't have freaky crap happening again...

Me and Barney already got our costumes set in stone. We're gonna be a devil and an angel. We can be over people's shoulders giving them advice. It'll be great, man. We got another idea in mind, but that one's definitely a secret.

So yeah, humor me, huh? Whatcha gonna be? Especially you girls out there. [wink wink]

[A very cheery yet exhausted Larry appears on the screen. Behind him, the faint skyline of Goldenrod City can be seen in the dark orange of the sky. The steady noise of his Steelix moving along the ground can be heard. Larry's been on the move ever since he got done with today's adventures.]

I am on a roll, you guys!

[He holds up his newly earned Plain Badge for all to see. Hah, already ahead of Franziska again.]



Today was awesome! I got to challenge Whitney, and boy was that a fun match. Her Miltank is something else! But I beat her. And to get her to stop crying, I invited her to lunch. We did some sight-seeing and shopping too. She said she wants to do it again sometime! Can you say one of the best days in Johto ever? I guess it was a good thing I got dumped here again after all!

[He is stupidly happy over going on a date for the first time in months, yes. He desperately to get back in the groove of that.]

So um... I'm gonna head out of Goldenrod now. If I stay another day I think I'll never leave. It's like Violet, but waaay more entertaining. The only other time I went past Goldenrod was when I took that bus ride from hell up to Olivine for like...a couple days. I wanna see the rest of Johto and get the other badges. That was my main goal when I first got here. From here on out, it's about training and kicking gym leader butt!

Watch out Morty, Larry Butz has got his eyes on you!

[And from off-screen and out of nowhere before the feed cuts out,] Woooooooobbuffet!

[Ever since Phoenix won his Zephyr Badge, Larry trained overtime so he could get his as soon as possible because he was supposed to win before Nick, damnit!. Earlier this afternoon, he finally got his chance to face Falkner.]

Guys.

GUYS GUESS WHAT?

[Well this sounds familiar. And considering how excited he sounds...it could only be good.

Larry grins, holding out his shiny new Zephyr Badge.]



I won my first badge! You hear that Nick? We're tied now...!

[His Pokémon surround the screen and let out a cry of accomplishment.]

I didn't even think I'd be able to pull it off on my first try, and it wasn't looking too good...but Poliwag evolved and saved the day!

[Poliwag, now Poliwhirl, cross his arms and nods, looking rather proud of himself.]

Whirl.

... Not that Wobbuffet and Drifblim didn't kick ass either! Even though Falkner had the advantage at first, he didn't stand a chance! ... H-Heheh.

So uh... I guess that's it for Violet then, huh? Man, it's gonna be weird leaving this place behind.
