[Larry intends to make this post short and sweet, so there's no fancy angles or openings or anything like that. It's just him in one of the Training Center's rooms.]

Hey, I got a question for you guys. You all know about golden birthdays, right? Well today's mine—man, I'm gettin' so old—and I have no idea what to do for it. I had a whole bunch of plans for it back home, but I can't do any of them now since I'm not there, y'know? I guess I shoulda made new plans but I wasn't expecting to spend three birthdays here. And I don't really have anyone in town to celebrate it with either, so that's a double whammy.

[He sighs and rubs the back of his head with his free hand. Man, this is the worst golden birthday ever.]

So yeah, any suggestions? If no one's got anything I guess I could grab a drink and try to get a new high score in that Rapidash Attack game.

[... Wow, that sounded really sad.]

[He's just gonna cut the feed out now.]

[That's what Kaoru would say, anyway. So it had to be the right thing to say! Not that he cared or anything. Look at how much his face says that he doesn't care!!]

I'm trying, but they just keep disappearing. It's something I've gotten used to with this place.

[Wait, what. Did he hear that right?! He raises a brow.]

Are you saying people just disappear at random?

[Larry's reaction is similar to Hikaru's. He's a bit surprised, honestly. This guy must be a newbie.]

Well...yeah. You didn't know? Some people have gone home just days after winding up here and some have stuck around for years, like me. It's all totally random.

That's bull! There's no way that can happen!

[Both his hands are now fists!]

That's stupid and I refuse to believe it! Refuse!

[He just stares at the screen in awe.]

Whoa dude, calm down! I don't make the rules! That's just how this place is.

I'm not blaming you... The very thought just pisses me off.

What part about it? The disappearing or being stuck here?

At first it was the disappearing, but it's really both.

[He huffs.]

If I were to lose my brother at any point, there will be much hell to pay.

... Oh. I see why you'd be pissed about it now.

[Larry sympathizes, although it wasn't a sibling's disappearance he had to go through. His childhood friends and girlfriend probably fall under similar relationships though.]

Yeah, it really sucks when it's combo'd on you. I've been there.

I'm sure it is. God this is just pissing me off more and more.

[He pauses.]

Go find something to do for your birthday instead of pissing me off!

Y-Yeah, of course! I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to.

[He's sincere about it, of course. It's a touchy subject for everyone, but it's a subject everyone needs to know about.]
