[Larry woke up to a nasty surprise this morning. A very nasty surprise.
Barney was gone. All that remained was Ted the Totodile sitting at the end of Larry's bed.
Larry and Barney had been good friends for over two years now. They had spent just about every day together, traveling and broing out. Barney's sudden disappearance left behind a gaping hole in Larry's life, and he didn't know how to deal with it.
The crippling depression that followed caused him to be absolutely destroyed in the tournament later on in the day. Despite previously being so pumped to win, he couldn't get his mind off of his best friend's disappearance. His heart was not in the game at all, and now he's out of the tournament because of it.
After suffering through the denial and putting it off for hours, eventually he brings himself to announce Barney's disappearance to the network.
He's got Ted with him for support, although he still looks like he could start crying at any moment. His voice comes out forced, like he really doesn't want to say any of this.]
For those who knew him...Barney Stinson has gone home. I've got Ted, but if anyone has any of his other Pokemon...take good card of 'em, okay?
[He pauses for a good few moments, tears starting to well in his eyes. Oh no. No Larry, don't--]
He was my first friend here. He was my best friend. I...I don't even know what to do with myself noooooooowwwwwaaaaaahhh--
[Aaand here comes the waterworks. How awkward. Even Ted's a little uncomfortable by this development. Being the tech-savvy Totodile he is, he quickly reaches over to shut the 'Gear off. You've said all you needed to, Larry.]

I'm sorry to hear that. It really sucks when someone you like a lot goes away...
no subject
It's happened to me a bunch of times already, but it never gets any easier.
Um...sorry for the dramatics, by the way. I got kinda overwhelmed.

You're right, sorry! Though you're the first I've seen cry here who isn't my girlfriend.

[Well Takuto, you've driven the subject of him crying away...but now he's interested about your girlfriend.]
no subject
Ah, yeah. We arrived at the same time...
no subject
[He's just saying that because he talks about his girlfriend (girlfriends? he changes girlfriends a lot) all the time.]

[Until now.]

[Inquiring minds want to know.]

[And since we're on the subject.]
We're actually planning a Christmas concert.

[He's just learning all sorts of things about you today Takuto.]
A concert, huh? Where's it gonna be at? I'd totally check it out!

[He's a little embarrassed at that, but also super-happy.]
We're thinking of holding it in Goldenrod.
