[It's the evening of Halloween, and the parties and trick or treating are in full swing. However, two individuals are more interested in the tricks than treats.

Anyone who happens to be walking around in the Goldenrod area may come across two very energetic men donning baseball caps and comfy shorts. They also won't hesitate to shove their Pokemon in your face.

No really, enjoy a Bidoof and Sentret in your face.]

[It's the the late hours of Halloween night, so you'd think that the excitement is starting to die down right?

... Wait, is that your 'Gear ringing? Sure sounds like it. But who would be calling at this hour? Maybe you should pick up...]

[[That's right, everyone... The youngsters are making a comeback. Only this time, they're not possessed. Replies will come from both Larry and Barney (

[What is Larry doing at 9:30AM this beautiful sunny morning? Sleeping of course, what else? But the thing is, he shouldn't be sleeping, because he promised Ur he'd train with her this morning. He was supposed to get up at 8:30 and meet up with her at 9. Unfortunately, Larry is never one to get up this early, so he's definitely not used to it.

So, as he reaches to slam his alarm clock back into snooze mode for the tenth time in a row, this time he accidentally smacks his 'Gear across the nightstand in the process, causing the video recorder to activate.

He doesn't take any notice to it however, as his face is still happily buried into his pillow. He's just happy to have that infernal beeping gone. For about a minute, viewers will get to observe Larry in his sleeping environment. You know those really deep sleepers who tend to tear apart their covers in their sleep? This is Larry to a tee. He's sprawled all over the bed, and his arm is just lying over the side of the bed from when he turned the alarm off.

However, that blissful moment is about to be interrupted. Out of nowhere, someone begins banging really darn loud on the door. A female voice follows.]

Larry!

[Whoa, whoever that is doesn't sound too happy! Viewers might recognize that it's Ur's voice if they know her.

All of this noise causes Larry to jump about a foot...and tumble right off the bed. He's all caught up in his covers.]

It's 9:30 and you should be training and not sleeping, you lazy kid!

Aaagh...! I-I'm up! I'm up!

[As Larry fumbles to free himself from his covers, the sound of the door bursting open off-screen can be heard. Larry looks absolutely pale. Ur's scolding continues.]

You better be ready in five minutes! I'll not wait any longer, you hear me?!

[And with that, she's gone. Larry sits there for a moment, just facepalming at himself. Ur's Gengar cackles off-screen. Wow did you screw up, Larry. Eventually he gets up and walks over to the 'Gear to check for messages, and after a few button presses, the feed is off. In his groggy state, he never actually noticed that it was recording.

But he will definitely find out later, won't he?]

[It's about 11PM on New Years Eve. The feed begins in the middle of the Goldenrod Pokemon Center. There are quite a few trainers bustling around in the Center despite the time. There are probably two reasons for that. 1) it's New Years and trainers are ready to ring in the new year or 2) they're watching some kind of performance going on.

Someone is dressed up in a funky costume that some people may recognize, doing a bunch of tricks and poses, albeit slightly clumsily. They're using a broom in place of a weapon for some of the tricks. They finish up the routine with some attack called "Early Summer Rain Jab" and the audience applauds them.

As the crowd disperses, the costumed person walks over to the 'Gear and picks it up. As the view shifts, we see that it was a Pokemon who was holding the 'Gear before: a Wobbuffet. Well, only a few people in Johto have a Wobbuffet...]

Heh, so what'd you guys think?

[Says the person underneath the mask. Even more familiar than the Wobbuffet is the person's voice. It's quite different than before when he was calling out attacks, but there's no doubt who it is.

Once the mask is off, it's no surprise to see that it was Larry under there. Or maybe it is a surprise. His face is a bit flushed from wearing that mask for a while.]

Pretty cool, huh? My Steel Samurai costume showed up on Christmas, so I thought I'd use it to ring in the New Year! Did I ever tell you guys I played a popular fictional character back home? Well if not, the cat's out of the bag now! [He laughs, rubbing the back of his head.] I'm actually kinda surprised I remembered most of the attacks. It's been a while!

Sooo, how are you guys celebrating? Anybody having a party? Any ladies out there in need of someone to kiss for the New Year? [He laughs again at that one. JUST KIDDING, UR...] I'm in the mood for some fun tonight!

[Why would anyone let you into their party, Larry.]

Heeey! Guess who finally saved up enough for that Kanto trip?

[Larry looks excited. Even more excited than he was the last time he posted.]

The date I had last week—which was amazing by the way—set me back a bit, but I finally caught up to get tickets for me and Barney. Just in time too! I'm gonna buy the tickets right after this post.

Man, Kanto's gonna be so awesome. It's like I'll really be living in the video game I played as a kid. I can't wait! 'Course I'll have to come back to get my last badges eventually, but I just have to see Kanto now...

[And there he goes, rambling about Kanto and childhood nostalgia.

Unfortunately...Larry hasn't yet realized that he got the date for the maiden voyage of the magnet train wrong and that he's missed it. Who wants to break the bad news to the poor guy before he finds out the hard way?]

[The feed opens up to a huge egg taking up all of the screen. Eventually it moves away and Larry's lap comes into view...and eventually Larry himself, sitting on the couch in his hotel room. He's holding what seems to be a Metal Coat in his other hand, and he's definitely showing that thing off, oh yeah he is. He looks ridiculously happy about this Metal Coat.]

Guys! Didja see the new stuff at the department store?! They have Metal Coats!

So, my question is going to be painfully obvious: who wants to help me evolve my Onix? I'm in Goldenrod of course.

[There's a pause as Larry remembers something.]

Oh yeah... I forgot to let you guys know I was back! Well uh...I am. Surprise! To my buds in Goldenrod, we should hang out sometime! I haven't seen a lot of you in...a while...

[He trails off as he realizes that oh snap his egg is glowing. He points the 'Gear camera at the glowing egg.]

Well look at that! Nice timing, egg! 'bout frickin' time too. Guess you guys get to see what's in this thing.

[The egg starts taking shape into a Pokémon...and it gets bigger. And bigger. And bigger. Eventually, it's almost as big as Larry, practically crushing him.]

W-Waaaaaaugh!

[But it doesn't stop there. Eventually it grows into a nearly seven foot tall...dinosaur. A Tropius, to be exact. The feed only shows a small bit of it however, since Larry is now sprawled under the Pokémon. His voice is muffled, but loud enough to hear.]

How does that even work?!

[Suddenly, the noise of the couch collapsing can be heard, and the feed shorts out.]

If anyone happens to see him at the festival, he'll be moping around. It's been years since he's been without a girlfriend on Valentine's Day and he's having a hard time coping. He's been struggling with the idea of asking someone out, but for once he's actually terrified of rejection.

Basically, Larry is being a desperate drama llama today.]

[The feed begins in SHAKY CAM MODE. All that can be seen is the floor of Larry's hotel room, and at the times, the feet of the Pokémon crowded in the room. Eventually the 'Gear is fumbled and Larry's face appears on the screen. He looks...derpily ecstatic as usual.]

Ladies and gentlemen of Johto, after saving up and battling hopeless trainers for a full week, I finally got enough money to get a Water Stone! I figured since I can, I might as well record Poliwhirl evolving, 'cause evolution's always cool to watch, right?

[The feed spins over to Larry's Poliwhirl, who looks pretty confused as to what's about to go down.]

You ready, Poliwhirl?!

... Whirl? [Whatever you say, crazy trainer.]

Awwright! Let's do this!

[Larry's other hand comes into view, holding the Water Stone. He hands it off to Poliwhirl and backs up to get a full shot of the evolution.

Poliwhirl holds it curiously before suddenly being enveloped in white light. Larry's Pokémon in the background watch in wonder as the white form grows bigger and and buffer...and then...]

Poliwrath!

Awwwwww yeeeeeaaah!

[SHAKY CAM MODE activates once again as Larry jumps over to capture a close-up of his new Pokémon. Eventually he moves his arm back so he and Poliwrath can be seen beside each other. He's grinning stupidly.]

Whitney, you better look out 'cause the Butz just got his trump card!

[He clenches his other hand into a fist and holds it out to Poliwrath.]

Fist bump!

[Since they do this a lot, Poliwrath immediately knows what to do.

... Except he's a bit too strong now, and when he fist bumps Larry, he sort of...knocks him into the nearby wall. SHAKY CAM MODE is here to document this of course, and amongst the view of Larry's now laughing Pokémon, his other hand shakily comes into view and he flashes a thumbs up.]

'M... 'M good...!

[And with that, the feed cuts out.]

[The feed opens up to a lovely closeup of Larry's Bidoof, who is sniffing the screen. Larry's voice can be heard from the side.]

Wow, you actually managed to turn it on. Good job, guys!

[Then the feed shifts as Larry picks up the 'Gear and focuses the feed on himself. He seems rather...contemplative.]

Y'know, the whole "sudden coma and going home for a while syndrome" epidemic is starting to get pretty freaky, especially since it's happened to a bunch of people all the sudden. I sure hope it doesn't happen to me. I'm not sure I wanna know what I'm gonna go back to if I suddenly pass out.

... N-Not that I don't feel bad for the people it happened to! It's actually got me worrying pretty bad, 'cause it happened to a couple people I know. I'm wondering when my friend is finally gonna wake up...and how different he'll be when he gets back.

[After a brief pause, he sighs and rubs his neck with his other hand.]

I think I just need some fresh air. Anyone in Goldenrod up for wandering around town? If not I can just train or something. [He smirks, gaining a bit of his determination back in his features.] I still got a gym leader in town to beat.

You. Guys. Are. AWESOME!

[Yep, a certain derp found his presents after waking up from a much-needed nap. His journey to Goldenrod was a long and tiring one, but he managed to make to Goldenrod in time for Christmas with Iris and Barney.

He's sitting around a pile of presents, even wearing a few of them! His egg is in his lap, and his Pokemon are curled up around the presents, except for Onix who is much too big to fit in the room.]

This is the best Christmas I've had in a while! All these awesome presents-I hope you guys liked liked yours from me by the way-and getting to Goldenrod in time...this is definitely the life.

[His eyes light up, remembering what he really wanted to say.]

Hey! Does Goldenrod have a bar? We should hang out there sometime if they do! Heck, I'm even up for doing it tonight. I think all of us could use a little R&R, if you know what I mean. Get back to me if you're up for that.
