004 [video] [backdated to thursday night]

[Phoenix's group might be wondering where the heck Larry went to. Well, here he is.

The feed is on, but anyone watching will see practically blackness. The faint outlines of trees can be seen, but not much else. However, one can hear the occasional cry of a Hoothoot and the music for Route 31, but mostly they'll just hear what sounds like Larry's teeth chattering.]

Uh...Nick? Maya? Pearl? G-G-Guys?

[The camera shakes violently for a moment, when suddenly Larry's face can (somewhat) be seen. He definitely looks like he doesn't do well in the dark. Alone. Why did he put his Pokemon back in their balls again?]

I th-think I got lost. H-Help?

[Getting lost on a route he's been on at least twice by now. Larry's got this. He's really only a few minutes away from Violet City, but he's Larry, so.

Suddenly, something appears on screen behind Larry. A Gastly, with a mischievous look in its eyes. Larry shudders, then spins around, but the Gastly had already disappeared. Only to appear next to him and give him a nice big lick on the cheek and disappear once again.

Yeah, that doesn't go over well with Larry. He lets out a scream, and drops the PokéGear. The feed cuts out as soon as the Gear hits the ground.]

[She turns to look at someone off to the side:] You can find him, right? [And there's a cackle in response, and something purple zooms across the screen. Pearl looks surprised and takes off after it, though it's moving a bit too fast for her to keep up...

So another Gastly's gonna be the first to find poor Larry. But at least Pearly's on the way?]

[Pearl will know exactly where Larry is when she hears another scream. Yeah, that'd be her Gastly finding him. Larry thinks it's the same Gastly, though.]

[Pearl's Gastly isn't so down about listening to Pearly this once, because she gets to terrify someone in the process. So she'll just be hunkering down on Larry's head. Feel free to keep screaming, girly-man.

Pearl, meanwhile, now knows just where to find him. She'll be dashing in and grabbing him by the sleeve, paying the Gastly on his head no mind, and pulling him back toward the rest of the group.]

You can't be getting lost out here, Mr. Larry! There are scary things around here in the dark.

[ffff. Larry's attempting to get the Gastly off his head when Pearl comes to the rescue, thank god for little Pearl. He's still swatting at the Pokemon with his free hand as they head back to towards Violet.]

Y-Yeah, I noticed... Uh. Is this yours? [He's pointing to the Gastly. He vaguely remembers the disaster that happened a few days ago. Vaguely.]

[She looks to his head, then looks dramatically stern for a second (as if the look is supposed to "speak volumes"), and the Gastly floats down off his head and does one backflip loop-de-loop in the air.]

H-Hey! I didn't do it on purpose! I was just training with Wobbuffet and Drifloon, when...suddenly it got dark. And then I couldn't see.

And then I got licked by a Gastly. It all kinda went downhill from there.

I don't know, man! I can't see anything! But I'm on Route 31 for sure.
