040 [video/action for route 4]
Um...guys? I know things have been really weird lately, but I've got a major problem here.
[The feed is of a very panicked Larry staring at the 'Gear. Video seems to finally be working, but it's still quite choppy and distortions keep streaking across the screen. Larry's voice is also somewhat tinny and distant, despite him being right in front of the 'Gear.
He backs up a little after handing the 'Gear off to one of his Pokemon. Judging from the chattering in the background, it's Wobbuffet. The screen pans off to Larry standing by a regular ledge.]
I just came down from this ledge, right? But when I tried to keep going...
[The video pans to the right as Larry makes an attempt to keep going along the route. For some reason he's keeping his hands out in front of him as he does so. It soon becomes clear why he did that, as his hands bump into...a wall? But there's nothing there! He slides his hands along the invisible barrier.]
This is not funny. It's all around us, and since the ledge is behind, we're stuck! I've tried having my Pokemon attack it but it does nada. What the heck is going on? [He brings his hands up in a praying stance.] Please let someone out there know how to get rid of this stupid wall because we can't stay here forever. We'll starve! Or worse, start smelling really bad from not getting a shower for days!
[Priorities.
Suddenly the distortion in the feed gets even worse, and...wait, was that Elgyem always behind Larry? Its very form seems to shift and pixelate until it scrambles up completely into a mass of black pixels and then...disappears.
Well that can't be good. Wobbuffet takes notice and lets out a concerned cry. Larry just takes it as concern over their situation.]
It's okay, boy. We'll get out of here eventually. So yeah, if anyone can come to our rescue right now that'd be awesome.
[And with that, they'll be on standby.
Anyone near the ledge before Cerulean City will see a slightly funny scene of Larry and Wobbuffet trying to push their way out of the invisible wall with no luck.]

[action]
Which is why there is a ten-year-old kid bolting down Route 4 from that direction, looking a tad on the QWOPish side as he trips and stumbles over every possible obstacle on the way. (Walking is hard - running is harder.)
He's being pursued by something large and extremely glitched. A tree root sends him flying to the ground, where he lies stunned for a moment, staring in horror at the pixelly monstrosity bearing down on him. One of his Pokeballs clicks open, and a Meowth jumps out, yowling in fury. It...does...something to the large glitched thing that might possibly be a Rapidash.
The next thing Dorumon knows, he's lying within the invisible walls up on that ledge, still looking and feeling dazed, his Meowth sitting on top of him and licking its paws with an expression of satisfaction.]
[action]
Larry's busy trying to push his way out of the barrier when he glances up and witnesses the kid running from something really horrifying...RIGHT AT HIM. Out of shock, he quickly grabs Wobbuffet by the arm and backs all the way up against the ledge. Then he realizes that this kid is running right for the wall and that's not going to end up pretty. So he hurriedly calls out,]
Kid, watch out for the-!!
[Too late. And it ended up completely different from what Larry was expecting to happen; he can't believe what he just saw. The boy's Meowth attacked and then they went right through the wall and up on the ledge! He and Wobbuffet crane their heads to get a good look.]
Uh...are you okay, dude?
[action]
He sits up, his Meowth rolling into his lap.] I'm okay. [He looks up quickly and with a suddenly wary expression. After a moment's passed and nothing glitches too severely, the kid relaxes, looking back down and patting his cat on the head.]
I don't think that one is coming back.
[action]
At least the Meowth doesn't look horrifying and is actually kind of cool. Wobbuffet seems to agree, because he gives the Meowth a little salute.
He lets out a sigh of relief at the news.]
That's good. We'd be kiiind of screwed if it got in here with us.
[Oh right.]
... Sorry you got stuck in here too though.
Video
*....thank you for asking the obvious, Geddoe*

Not on me. [But he's quick to defend himself.] I know, I know, you should always have one on you, but I wanted to rough it for once. I mean, I have a Pokemon that can fly on me, but he's way too small to carry me.
[That and Stunfisk's flying can hardly be called flying.]
'cept I know for a fact that wouldn't work anyway. I had Stunfisk fly up there and he hit the wall there too. It's all around us.
Re: Video

Hey, don't give me that look. Have you ever tried to fly on a flopping bird thing?
[He's holding up said Stunfisk as he said that. Stunfisk wobbles around in Larry's grasp.]
no subject
Have you tried digging?
video;
Do you have a Pokémon that can teleport?
video;
Larry lets out an exasperated sigh.]
Man, I wish. I hadn't though of that, but it woulda been perfect right now!
video;
Or if you have a Pokémon that can fly, that might work too.
video;
[He shakes his head at the second question too.] My only "flying" [complete with airquotes] Pokemon with me is my Stunfisk and he wouldn't be able to carry me.
video;
[ pulls a bit of a face because wow he's seen one of those in the PokéCentre before... ]
Those can fly?
video;
[ JUST CHECKING... ]
Ah, and where is this, actually?
video;
It's a known fact that for some reason you just can't climb back up ledges, and uh, this wall is pretty slippery so it's a no-go.
Oh, it's on Route 4. Right by Cerulean.
video;
Is anyone else closer by?
