[It's been a while since Larry last made a network post. With so much going on—disappearances, conventions, and lots of battling at the Training Center—the thought of making a post completely slipped his mind. But he's got a good reason to post today.

The feed opens up to, well...not Larry, that's for sure. It's a mass of blue and purple with extremely happy expressions. They excitedly crowd the screen, chattering away.]

Wobba Wob! Wy? Wobba Wobba! Wy? Woooobbuffet! Wy! Wynaut!

[Eventually Larry worms his way between the two of them, laughing.]

Okay guys, I think they get the point.

[The Wobbuffet and Wynaut playfully try to shove him back out but he holds them tight.]

Did you guys catch the EV News the other day? There's gonna be a Wynaut swarm! I actually didn't know Wobbuffet had a baby form until I got this little guy for Christmas.

[He affectionately pats Wynaut's head, who cries happily in response.]

But it got me thinking. I haven't seen a lot of people with a Wynaut or Wobbuffet! I almost wonder if I'm the only one aside from Gym Leader Sabrina in Saffron. And y'know what? I wanna fix that, 'cause you guys have no clue what you're missing out on.

[He backs up from the 'Gear with his Pokemon, revealing that they're in one of the Training Center's battle locations. Two other Pokemon are nearby: a Stunfisk and a Poliwrath. Wynaut and Wobbuffet line up across from them.]

See, the thing with Wynaut and Wobbuffet is they like to wait and go second during battle. Wobbuffet is my starter so it was pretty hard to get used to that kind of style at first. But it's really really worth it, especially with the moves they have. It's even better if your opponents have no idea what these guys are capable of.

[He turns to face his Pokemon. Time to call out some attacks!]

Poliwrath and Stunfisk, DynamicPunch and Thunderbolt!

[As if prepared for these commands, the Pokemon set off their respective moves. Poliwrath races toward Wobbuffet to deliver a powerful punch and Stunfisk sends a stream of electricity toward Wynaut.]

Wobbuffet and Wynaut, Counter and Mirror Coat!

[Crying enthusiastically, the two Pokemon begin to glow, Wobbuffet orange and Wynaut shiny white. When Poliwrath connects with Wobbuffet's body, he is sent flying backward, and lands on his feet while skidding to a halt. Stunfisk's Thunderbolt bounces off Wynaut and flies right back at him. Luckily the electric attack has no effect in this case so he just absorbs it.

Larry grins back at the camera, obviously quite proud of what just unfolded.]

You can send any Pokemon's move right back at them as long as you wait to go second! They've got a couple more tricks up their sleeves, but we'll just keep that a mystery for now. You'll figure it out if you go catch a Wynaut or Wobbuffet yourself. [With an obvious winking motion,] Hint hint!

[Wynaut and Wobbuffet are already back to crowd the camera. Larry laughs again, petting them both.] Plus they're great Pokemon all-around. You guys should totally go catch one by the Dark Cave! And if you want help training them, I'm at the Celadon Training Center, so feel free to stop by!

[Wow, nice shameless advertising, Larry.

All three give a salute for the closing bit.]

They can do that with every attack? How do you get one?

Ooh, that's a lovely purple; does the younger form naturally come in that colour, Larry?

[Because really, it's rather beautiful! Not to mention how fantastic those attacks were.]

Woah. That is rather amazing.

[...well that certainly was interesting. A Pokémon like that could certainly be useful in the long run. Then again, it doesn't look like the smartest 'mon around...]

Maybe it's because they don't really look all that impressive.

[Larry's grinning, pleased that his Pokemon managed to please at least someone.]

Any damaging one, yeah. Counter works on physical moves and Magic Coat works on special ones.

They're over in the Dark Cave by Violet City. Normally you can't catch Wynauts at all and have to breed for them, but the news said they're actually going to be around for a little while. They'll actually be outside the cave too!

They're in a cave?

[She's checking her map, and proceeds to make a face at what she discovers, which she doesn't bother to hide from the video.]

That's pretty far away. And people say you have to get everywhere on foot around here — not good for moving fast.

Wy Wy!

[Emmy you're going to make Wynaut blush! He's flattered, really.]

He's shiny, actually. At least I think so, 'cause his Dex entry comes up blue like Wobbuffet.

[Hey, they heard that! The two chatter somewhat angrily at the screen, but Larry calms them down.]

And looks can be pretty deceiving, can't they? I think they look pretty cool myself.

Well you have to pass through that cave to get to Violet from Cherrgrove, so it's not that bad? It definitely lives up to its name though, so bringing a Fire type would be good.

[He taps his chin. From what she's saying, he's guessing she's a newbie.]

That's where you're at, I'm guessing? Cherrygrove or New Bark Town? Either way, once you get a ride-able Pokemon it gets a lot easier.

They can be, but sometimes they're accurate. Like this guy for instance...

[Putting down the gear, she reaches for something off to the side of her...]

[Ooo. Bonus.]

Where do I get one of those?

[Because she's certainly not riding Caballo Diablo, even if he were big enough for horseback riding.]

[And next thing you know there's a Croagunk on her lap. It doesn't look too happy, despite the smile on its face.]

See Norman here? He's creepy-looking.

[The frog scoffs, folding its arms.

...also he's staring right at Larry. No movement either.]

And in a surprising twist of fate, it turns out he's even creepier than he looks.

What do you have right now? A lot of Pokemon become ride-able when they evolve.

[Larry's face falls a bit. Oh god what is he looking at and why is it staring at him.]

Uh...yeah, he's definitely one of those special cases. What even is that?

[It looks vaguely familiar...maybe Riku had its evolved form?]

Ummm. An evil horse, a nine-foot snake, and a little bird dinosaur thing. And even if the horse wasn't evil I don't think I could ride it anyway because it's also on fire.

[That was...definitely specific.]

Okaaay, so a Ponyta, an Arbok, and a...Aerodactyl? Or maybe Arboks are bigger than that...

[He shrugs; he's sure he's close enough with those guesses.]

Anyway, Ponytas are actually safe for riding if they like you. But since you said yours is evil, I'm guessing it doesn't? [sob.] Aerodactyls should be easily ride-able, but you'd need Fly first.

A Seviper. And the bird dinosaur is pink and blue.

[She motions with her hands, holding them only about a foot, maybe a foot and a half apart. Definitely smaller than an Aerodactyl, even a baby one.]

I don't think it likes anybody. It has demon eyes.

[At first, he is only watching because what is that thing.

But as is demonstrated- that was... impressive.]

My starter; he's a Croagunk.

[Now that Norman's served his purpose for the feed, Jeane casually chucks him behind her. Interestingly enough, he doesn't seem to mind. In fact, he just lands on his feet casually and walks over to the nearest wall. Then he leans on it with his arms folded across his chest and...continues to stare at the camera.]

Whoa.

They sure are weird-lookin', aren't they?

That's... certainly an unusual Pokemon. Do their moves completely reflect opponents' attacks, or do they still receive damage?

Ahh, I follow! I've got two of the 'shiny' ones, now; beautiful, aren't they?

[Just let her have her moment of smug before moving on....]
